One of the lovely things about making a videogame called A Slow Year is that I can take as damn well long as I please to get it done. But that doesn't mean I don't owe an update to those of you who have been following the game.
At the IGF in March, I had the opportunity to watch a great many people play the game. It was instructive, and I made a number of important changes to the final build, which has been done for a few weeks. I'm now assembling cartridges for the limited edition. The Mac version is done, and the Windows build will follow suit in the next week or two.
All that behind me, I've turned my attention to packaging both the limited edition and the standard edition for sale. I'm not yet ready to reveal all, but I will share the following teaser, which should tell you a great deal if you read between the lines:

If you're one of the folks who has emailed me about the Atari limited edition, don't worry, I've been keeping track of all of you and will be in touch soon with ordering information. If you haven't yet contacted me and you are interested in one of those signed, numbered Atari cartridge editions, now's a good time to let me know. If that doesn't float your boat, no worries, I made a final decision last weekend about the general release, and it will also be quite special.
