Christmas Bytes
Get A Slow Year and Racing the Beam when you support this indie film about videogames in 1982 on Kickstarter

A few months ago Brett Neveu sent me a script for a movie he is producing, about a group of teenagers hoping to get an Atari VCS for Christmas 1982. The script is fun and charming, sitting somewhere just between Dazed and Confused and Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

There's now a Kickstarter for the film, Christmas Bytes, meant to cover part of its production. Given the theme, I've provided some rewards for the Kickstarter, including a signed copy of Racing the Beam, signed copies of the standard edition of A Slow Year, and even a copy of the Atari limited edition of that game. I realize there are a ton of Kickstarter projects these days, and that contributing is more an experience than a transaction, but the film is worth supporting. It's also not looking for its entire budget from the Kickstarter, so take some comfort in that fact.

Speaking of A Slow Year, two bits of salesy news:

First, I've reduced the price of the standard edition to $8.95, so I hope you'll take advantage of that opportunity if you haven't already.

Second, I only have 3 copies remaining of the limited edition. If you want one, now's the time. I'll never make any more of these, ever.

A Slow Year
