Water Cooler Games served as the web's primary forum for "videogames with an agenda" — coverage of the uses of video games in advertising, politics, education, and other everyday activities, outside the sphere of entertainment.
The site was maintained at watercoolergames.org from 2003-2009, where it was edited by myself and Gonzalo Frasca. It is now archived here in full.
Serious Games Interactive, led by WCG friend Simon Egenfeldt-Nielsen, has announced several open jobs. The group created Global Conflicts: Palestine and is currently working on some new projects.
Deadline is in a little over a week, and keep in mind that applicants will have to be willing to move to Copenhagen. More info after the jump.
Job Descriptions:
* Lead 3D artist: You will set the tone and style for our productions. Your main tasks will be to create the game universe.
* Producer: You will handle the daily running of a production in terms of meeting deadlines and dealing with external clients.
* Sales & marketing: You formulate and executive our sales & marketing in close collaboration with the CEO and board

ABOUT SERIOUS GAMES INTERACTIVE
Serious Games develops computer games with an agenda that goes beyond pure entertainment. We believe that computer games can be engaging and enlightening on an endless number of current issues. Our first production is Global Conflicts: Palestine. We have already attracted much attention from the media with our title showcased with the BBC and CNN.
Team: We are a small, untraditional team consisting of 8 people.
Place: IT-University Copenhagen that is hotspot for game research, game education and have several start-ups within computer games (relocation to Copenhagen required!)
