Water Cooler Games
Water Cooler Games served as the web's primary forum for "videogames with an agenda" — coverage of the uses of video games in advertising, politics, education, and other everyday activities, outside the sphere of entertainment.

The site was maintained at watercoolergames.org from 2003-2009, where it was edited by myself and Gonzalo Frasca. It is now archived here in full.

I hope everyone had a happy Christmas yesterday. I dug out of Jell-O and constructed Transformers pies.

As Christmas recedes into memory, here's one more post on the topic. One of the genres I didn't discuss at all in my recent column on holiday games are MMOs and virtual worlds. On Christmas Eve, Robert Cox published a detailed article, The Holidays in the MMO Universe. Definitely worth a read if you're interested in the topic of games and the holidays.
