I thought I'd share few recent mentions of me in the media. I try not to do this with every little mention, but all of these are really good articles that you should read anyway.
First, Chris Suellentrop's New York Times Magazine story Video Games that Bring Afghanistan Home. It's a wide-ranging feature, and even though I only have one quote, it's possibly my best press quote ever. I won't spoil it for you, but do take note of the fact that Chris had to go to the ends of the earth to get the NYT to actually print it.
Second, I have a few choice words to say about Zynga (surprised?) in Peter Jamison's SF Weekly story FarmVillains. It's an incredibly critical article, but a smartly researched one.
Third, check out Niraj Chokshi's piece in The Atlantic online, Gaming like it's 1999. The subject is demakes, and it's perhaps the first mainstream publication to tackle that topic. I say a few things about the genre, based on my experience teaching about them—not to mention writing about and programming on the Atari 2600.
